I am a 6th grade social studies teacher at Conway Middle. This is my 5th year teaching social studies, first year teaching 6th grade. I truly love history and am lucky to have to opportunity to share that love with my students. I am currently seeking my masters at CCU in teaching with technology and enjoy sharing that experience with my students. I am looking forward to the coming year with the students at Conway Middle.

I am married to a great man, Mike, who is from Southern California. We have two cats, Jackson and Jill. I have a son who lives in Virginia and two grandsons. The oldest, Nick, has just graduated from highschool and is now in the Navy. We are very proud of him. The younger grandson, Jon, will graduate in two years. My husband and I enjoy riding motocycles and gardening. Additionally, I build furniture, enjoy all types of home improvement, except plumbing.

In the past, I have traveled and lived in Europe. My first trip to Spain was in 1971 and I returned in 1988 to live in Spain for three years. While there, I traveled to Austria, Germany, Portugal and Gibralter. I love history and while in Germany, hiked the Bavarian Alps checking out bunkers and bomb craters and loved talking to the people of Germany. While living in Spain I got to know my family from Puerto de Santa Maria and shared in all cultural activities with my family.
