About Ms. Michele Freeman
Michele Freeman teaches Careers, Computerized Business Applications, CT: Intro, and Keyboarding to students in grades 7 - 12 at Riverside High School. She also sponsors the Junior High FBLA and co-sponsors the Junior class this year. Freeman earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1992 and the Master of Business Administration degree in 1994 from Arkansas State University. She and her son, Connor, live in Jonesboro. Prior to teaching, Ms. Freeman worked in the corporate world. She has worked in accounting, auditing, cafeteria plan (Section 125) administration, 401(k) administration, executive administrative assistant to CEO, legal secretary, and paralegal in litigation. Among her many honors, she was chosen as Employee of the Month for Express Staffing Service in Little Rock in May 1997 and presented with a plaque, company watch, and flowers. During her teaching career, she has been featured as a guest on the nationally syndicated Delilah Radio Show. Ms. Freeman also was selected as a SHOPA Foundation Grant Recipient in the Spring 2005. She used the grant money to teach students about community service and altruism by enlisting students to write letters to patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, and they sent gifts to the children as well at Christmas. In her free time, Ms. Freeman enjoys cooking, playing the piano, traveling, grilling out, campfires, antique stores, flea markets, watching bull riding, and the Razorbacks. Go HOGS!!!
