Mrs. Liz Castillo
I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology and a Master's in Education in Secondary Science Teaching. I am currently working on my Master's of Education in Instructional Media from Wilkes University. I have been teaching middle school for 13 years in both public and private schools. I currently teach at Kamehameha Middle School which is a private school that serves native Hawaiian children. We are in the fifth year of our 1:1 laptop program using MacBook computers. I spent 2 years as a technology resource teacher helping other teachers to integrate technology. I now enjoy being a 1:1 laptop teacher and using technology to motivate and engage my students. I enjoy sharing both locally and nationally about how I integrate technology into the curriculum. I was honored to be named an Apple Distinguished Educator (2009), a Siemens STEM fellow (2010), and an Edmodo Featured Blogger (2011). I would love to connect with anyone interested in collaboration and connecting our students.
