I graduated from University of Louisiana with a BA in Elementary Education (grades 1-8) and I’ve been teaching since January of 2001. I have experience in teaching kindergarten, first grade, second grade and fifth grade. Plantation Elementary has been my home since 2002 and I’ve been a first grade teacher there for the past 10 years.
This year, 3rd grade is a new venture for me...please be patient, as we will all be learning together! ;o)

I am excited about incorporating technology in the classroom in any way possible. I have attended several technology trainings: INTECH, Discovery Education training, Promethean board training and INTECH plus. I have also written and received a School Site Grant from Lafayette Education Foundation (LEF), which provided iPods as listening stations and books/CDs to all of our first grade classrooms.

I am currently a volunteer for Acadiana Therapeutic Riding Organization (ATRO), which provides horse riding therapy for children and adults with special needs.

I am married, have 2 children, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a fish. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, surfing the internet, listening to music, dancing and spending time with my family and friends.
