I graduated from UNC-Charlotte in 2008 with the intention of teaching high school Social Studies, that didn't work out so I switched to middle school, a decision I don't regret at all. I recently spent four summers working at Clydehurst (a ranch/camp) in McLeod, MT and had the chance to participate and even place in a rodeo event.

I have worked at Overhills Middle School for three years as an 8th Grade Social Studies teacher and have now moved to Guilford County where I teach 7th Grade Language Arts at Northwest Middle School.

I finished pursuing my Master of Science in Education with a specialty in K-12 Studies at Capella University, graduating in December 2011. In my spare time I enjoy participating in sports, particularly basketball and football. I also like being in the outdoors for hiking, backpacking, camping, or fishing.
