Ms. Sara Stewart

I am an Instructional Technology Project Facilitator for Clark County School District, Las Vegas, Nevada.

I have had many roles and responsibilities as an IT Project Facilitator. One endeavor that I was very proud to be a part of was the Nevada Pathway Project- http://cpdmoodle.ccsd.net/pathway. Along with Terra Graves, from Washoe County Nevada, we worked collaboratively to design and deliver professional development modules to teachers from across the entire State of Nevada. We worked with 122 middle school teachers to provide training on how to effectively integrate technology tools (with a focus on mobile devices) into their curriculum. Throughout this project we used Moodle and, you guessed it- Edmodo!

My newest endeavor is working with April Holloway and Jo Imlay of Clark County to design and implement online training to support math teachers with common core state standards. We will be using Edmodo for our professional learning groups to expand our learning and support of the common core.

Prior to my work here in Instructional Technology, I served as an educational computing strategist (school level technology leader), and science teacher. I have been in the education profession for 13 years. I also have a M.Ed degree in Technology Integration from UNLV. I love sharing my love of teaching with technology!

I keep plenty busy as I have two adorable kids, ages 5 and 3. Looking forward to collaborating with everyone in this unbelievable platform!
