I am a self-avowed science junkie. I especially love the natural science. Although I have a BA in psychology from the University of California, Irvine and a Master of Social Work from California State University, Sacramento, I have always had a passion for science and all things science. As a result and after 10+ years of school administration, teaching found me. I was fortunate to do a long term sub job as I was earning my MSW and as an administrator I had to teach at least one class per semester. But it wasn't until I went back and took classes in elementary education that I found my vocation. Teaching at the elementary and Middle School levels lit a fire under me that burns today. It's been said that a true vocation is realized when the needs of a community are met by the gifts, skills and passions we each possess. If that is true, then I have truly found my vocation in teaching. I am currently the STEM coordinator at Christian Brothers HS in Sacramento,CA. I teach chemistry and a special class called Watershed Biology, which is organized as an AP Environmental Science course. I coach XC and the Robotics team. I truly love what I do.
