Social Studies Teacher: AP World History, Asian History, and Economics


I am originally from New Orleans, La, USA. Prior to coming to Tsinghua International School, I had taught in Chicago (IL, USA), Abidjan (Ivory Coast), and in Dubai (UAE). I am joined by my wife, Regina Maniaci, who will be teaching art in the primary grades.

I have a BA in History from the University of Louisiana (Lafayette) with post graduate work in Education from the University of New Orleans and Northeast Illinois University. Apart from teaching, I have experience coaching boys’ soccer/ football teams. I am currently coaching the middle school team at THIS.

I had volunteered in the Peace Corps and as a disaster relief volunteer with the American Red Cross. I also have a strong interest in genealogy and a love for history and culture. I am an avid player of Go or Weiqi in Chinese.
