About Dr. Charles Mercavich

Dr. Mercavich teaches Orchestra and World Music & Drumming at Black Water MS, and is an Adjunct Faculty membre at Horry-Georgetown Technical College, where he teaches Music Appreciation. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees in Music from Kent State University and East Carolina University, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from The Ohio State University. Dr. Mercavich has performed as a percussionist with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, Long Bay Symphony, musical theatres, jazz, club date, and rock and popular music bands.
