We just launched Edmodo Polls for teachers. Edmodo Polls is a simple system that allows you to post polls to your Edmodo groups to get quick anonymous feedback from your students effortlessly.

Lets do a quick overview of how easy it is to add a poll. First click the “more” link in the Edmodo post bubble. Next, select Poll and the post should look like the following screen shot. You type your question, and at least 2 answers. If you need more answers, just click the “add answers” button.

This is what a poll will look like to your student. Each student can only vote once and they can not retract their vote.

Once you start getting some responses from your students you can quickly gauge student sentiment regarding the question you posted.

Clicking the update link will refresh the polls stats for you.

What do you think of Edmodo Polls? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Now what are you waiting for, login to Edmodo and try out the poll feature

Up until now, if any of your codes for your Edmodo groups got out, you couldn’t do much short of contacting us and manually changing the code for your group. Now you can change the group code you hand out to students yourself. You can use this to lock out any new group members once all your group members have signed up or if the code should happen to be leaked to people that shouldn’t have access to your group.

To reset a group invite code, just go to the pencil icon next to the group.

Next, select “Code & Info”.

Now, click the “Reset Code” link.

You will see that your code has now been changed and you can now exit using the “X” in the upper right hand corner of the box.

If anyone has anymore questions about this feature, do not hesitate to contact us by either leaving a comment on this post, using our contact form, or posting to the Edmodo group.

When we launched Edmodo just a little over a month ago our assignment system was pretty much just a notification for assignments. We are proud to announce a complete Assignment Turn-In and Grading system has been added to Edmodo.

After a teacher has posted an assignment in Edmodo a student will see a link to turn-in the assignment in the assignment post.

When the student has completed their assignment according to the teachers instructions, they are ready to “turn-in” their assignment by clicking on the Turn-In link.

Once the Student turns in their assignment the post will then be marked as “waiting” for their teacher to grade the assignment.

Once students turn in assignments, the teacher will be notified.

Now the assignment is ready to grade. We currently only have 1 student in this demo class, but all your students would show up in the following screenshot for your classes.

Time to review & grade!!!

Once you’ve graded the assignment your students will be notified of their grade in Edmodo.

Please let us know what you think of the Assignment Turn-In & Grading System. We are striving to make Edmodo as best we can and make it a first class learning platform.
