About Mrs. Brenda Bland

I was born and raised in Spring Valley, Illinois, with a brother and two sisters. I earned a BA degree in English Education in 1995 from Teikyo Marycrest College in Davenport, Iowa. I moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona, in March of 1998. I taught 7 years of high school before moving down to the 8th grade level, where I am currently teaching for my 6th year. I earned my MS degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University in 2007. I became a National Board Certified teacher in November 2010 for Early Adolescent English Language Arts. I live in the Presidential Estates section of Whetstone with my husband, Brett; our son, Logan;our dog, Dago; and our hamster, Theodore.
